Led by noted Tri-State restaurateur Par Shakiban, Medi Bistro offers a sophisticated but accessible and affordable dining experience in a beautiful modern space with Persian influences that is ideal for a business lunch, a romantic dinner for two, or a family gathering.
Par Shakiban, is a seasoned restaurateur and entrepreneur with a more than 50-year career in the food service industry.
Par strives to set trends in ambiance, food quality, and service. His desire to serve is evidenced by his gracious demeanor and humble background. Coming to America from Iran 65 years ago, he has set an example of what it takes to succeed with passion and hard work.
Par has owned and operated many restaurants and eating establishments in the tri-state area, including Par’s Steak & Seafood Houses in four locations in Westchester County, NY since 1968.
Other prior successful restaurants include Eclisse Northern Italian Cuisine in five locations in New York and Connecticut; Piatto Grill, in Stamford CT; Brezza in Armonk, NY; Pars Gourmet in Westchester; Laguna and Mediterraneo, in White Plains, NY and Connecticut.
Par and his partner, Kelly Albana Murati, are proud owners and operators of Patisserie Salzburg, an upscale European bakery and pastries located in Rye, Stamford and New Canaan – as well as an organic market in Harbor Point Stamford.
He takes a very special pride in introducing MEDI Bistro a Persian and Mediterranean cuisine which brings him back to his childhood memories when watching his mother prepare the most delicious Persian dishes. The secret to this sophisticated cuisine is the use of fresh ingredients and genuinely fresh herbs, some of which comes from the Middle East and the sub-continent of India. He hopes that his feast will satisfy the most sophisticated palate.
Par is honored to be partnered with real estate developer and City Square owner Martin Ginsburg in this culinary endeavor.
